Monoswezi came to Harare in November, they had a workshop and concert at the Zimbabwe College of Music, and a concert at the Mannenberg Jazzclub. Later they continued their tour to Mozambique and South Africa. The band has released the album Monoswezi; the cd has been critically acclaimed in Norway and abroad.

Norwegian Red Cross Youth Delegates Ingvild Onstad Helle and Sigbjørn Solli Ljung are currently seconded to Zimbabwe Red Cross. They take part in a nine month youth exchange programme and work with youth in Mutare. At the same time two Zimbawean delegates have gone to Norway to work ten months with Red Cross in Bergen. The 17th of March Ambassador Ingebjørg Støfring presented to His Excellency Robert Gabriel Mugabe, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, the letters accrediting Her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Zimbabwe. The official seremony took place in the State House and the all the diplomats from Norway attended the ceremony.

Harare International Festival of the Arts is the most anticipated event on the Zimbabwean arts calender. HIFA is a six day annual festival and workshop programme that showcases local, regional and international arts in a programme of theatre,dance, music, circus, street performance and visual art. Among many great artists, Norway this year brought three shows to the festival.

The Norwegian Embassy went on the 29th June 2010 on a field trip to SOS Children's Villages in Waterfalls in Harare. An ever-increasing number of children are orphaned or abandoned in Zimbabwe due to the HIV/AIDS crisis and the economic problems in the country.
