The 27th of September is the Opening Night at Reps Theatre in Harare for the play ”A Journey to Yourself”. It will be played until the 30th of September.
22/09/2006 :: The play is based on Henrik Ibsens play “Peer Gynt”, but instead of Norwegian mountains and trolls, the setting is Zimbabwe. You’ll find the Mushongas, crocodiles and a trip with the ET.
Instead of Edvard Griegs characteristic music, you’ll get the traditional Zimbabwean sound with mbira, marimba and ngoma played by the actors. The youth are not only on stage, but backstage and in the front, operating light and sound.
If you missed out during HIFA in April, you should really find your time to come now. Our Ambassador has seen the play several times and he is still fascinated.
